Thank you for visiting my Graduate studies portfolio. I am currently a second year Grad student in the Adult Education and Training Program.  I am proud to say that I am doing extremely well in the program. As of January 2013, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.95.   This portfolio contains the majority of my course work, along with a resume' and letters of recommendation. The focus of my studies is on instructional design and e-learning.

I designed a nursing program during my Instructional Design course, which led to several projects for other courses. My nursing plan was chosen by my learning team for a syllabus, and agenda project in Instructional Strategies. Before I began the Nursing Instructional Plan, I knew very little on the subject. I chose nursing, to prove that I can design any course, even in an unfamiliar subject. I designed a syllabus, rubrics, and a detailed agenda for the nursing program.

I readily embraced Web 2.0 technology. I created an animated presentation using Xtranormal software, several Prezi presentations, and blogs. I was introduced to e-learning platforms such as Moodle, and Odijoo. I learned to use widgets to create online exams, forums, and more. I designed an online tutorial using the ADDIE process. The tutorial was built using two platforms-- Task Stream, and Yola. Text, video, and graphics make up the multimedia learning environment.

Upon graduation, in May 2013, I plan to secure an instructional design position, while I pursue my PhD, in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior, at Capella University.  My ultimate goal is to teach online at the university level in either education, or human behavior.
