Tying Activities

Complete these activities as a requirement toward your certificate.
  1. Go to the Facebook discussion page and upload four photos of horses tied improperly, found on the Internet. Document your sources. Briefly explain why the horse is tied improperly. What are the dangers of tying a horse this way? Find one photo of a properly tied horse, explain why it is proper. Comment on other members' posts.
  2. Take your lead rope and practice tying a simple quick release slip knot, and a bank robber knot to a post without your horse. When you have mastered these knots, demonstrate tying up your horse on video. Upload it to the to the discussion page.
