A teaching philosophy reflects one's personal ideas about the value of education and how best to deliver knowledge. With today's advanced society and job skills; education is a must. But is education the same as knowledge? I don't think it is the same.
For example I can educate any student with factual data about History. Data such as names, dates, and places but real knowledge comes from understanding; "Why a historical event is important and the personal impact it has on their lives." It is not my philosophy to teach strictly from the book per say but to teach about life as well. Students are like a lock and I am the key that will show them how to handle events in our daily lives. Yes, it is my duty to help students achieve more academically. Most importantly I feel it is my responsibility to help them become the best person they can be. As - General George S. Patton (1885-1945) said; "If a man does his best, what else is there?"
