7 th Grade Research Project

We hope you are ready to embark on the exciting journey of research. The goal of this assignment is to better prepare you for your high school and college careers.  You will be expected to write a five page research paper on the topic you have been assigned.  In addition to the paper itself, you will be required to hand in several other documents, all of which will receive a grade.  Your grade will be both on the quality of your final paper, and on the processes you used to produce your paper.  Your final paper will consist of the following:

1. The final draft of your paper

2. A works cited page

3. A stack of index cards for each source you used to write your paper.

4. A completed graphic organizer (1st Draft) that addresses how you will write about the different aspects of your issue.
