As I mentioned in outcome 2 on knowledge of human development and learning, I have come to realize it is best to mask the lesson in a contemporary visual metaphor.  At first in my experiences, I tried to teach conventionally without technology, and for good reason: all teachers should know how to teach "if the lights go out".  However, having experimenented with this for a few semesters, I then moved on to code my lessons in technology, the language of today's student.  Here in this outcome, you will find much of my work has not simply a connection to technology, but is rooted in technology while not compromising the original subject matter.

Attached is a 4MAT Unit & Lesson Plan on "A Midsummer Night's Dream." It was written for the 12th grade level, geared toward students who have a relative desire to learn, but need stimulation and everyday application for the material they are required to learn. Of particular notice is the craftsmanship put into 1R of the unit, the "Hook." Here, the hook was crafted so as to connect the students to the material from the very beginning, so as to give them time throughout the unit to solidify this unit's real-life applications. This is finally reinforced by the activities during the latter half of the unit, which also provides activities for those that need stimulation.
