  1. Distribute approved newsletter to parents.
  2. Team teach instructional module after mentor teacher approval. (One must be planned and taught individually. Mentor teacher is to review and initial prior to teaching.)
  3. Team teach one lesson in each of the major subject areas not covered by the Instructional Module: Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading. These lessons will be completed on Taskstream and, after completion with reflections, emailed to the appropriate instructor.
  4. Schedule a lesson observation date with your university supervisor. (It is optimal that the lesson observed be from your instructional module, but not required).  Observation must be confirmed in advance by university supervisor. A formal lesson plan is required for your observation.
  5. Administer a running record, following the format discussed in reading class, to one child. (Each of you works with a different child.)  Compile and analyzeresults, and devise a plan to address student needs.  Create a fluency plan, based on assessment.  Follow specific criteria discussed in classes.
  6. Submit science assessment with student data results in a chart and graph. Complete a reflection of the finding along with the intended extensions or revisions to future lessons based on the outcomes of the assessment. The assessment needs to be a formal assessment.
  7. Each team will evaluate two technology software packages from their placement using either a courseware guide developed in EDUC 447 or a self reflection paper summarizing the package, reactions, and application for the classroom.
  8. Take pictures with permission of mentor teacher for Entrance Portfolios.
  9. ECE candidates will complete a parent/teacher interaction assignment as directed by instructor.
