We are seeking twenty (20) NSF Teaching Fellows who:

are STEM (science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics) post-baccalaureates, including :
-
recent STEM college graduates
-
STEM career changers
-
OR current middle/high school classroom teachers working in our partner schools
-
AND already hold their preliminary license with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). In order to obtain a preliminary license, you must have passed the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) exams in both Communication & Literacy AND your content/subject area. AND are in need of earning their initial license in one of the following subject areas:

Mathematics (grades 5-8 or 8-12)

Biology (grades 8-12)
-
Chemistry (grades 8-12)
-
Physics (grades 8-12)
-
General Science (grades 5-8)
-
Technology/Engineering** (grades 5-12)
** As part of this grant, CUSP is collaborating with UMD's College of Engineering to develop an initial license in Technology/Engineering (grades 5-12). It will need approval from the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education before it can be offered to our participants.
