¡Bienvenidos!

My experiences as an English Language Learner and as a Spanish Heritage Language Learner have shaped the view that I have on teaching a language. As a former Heritage Language student and now as an instructor of Spanish, I see how important it is for students to improve their written and oral expression in order to acquire a renewed pride and maintain the connection with the language and culture of their parents and grandparents.  As a Second Language Learner, I strongly believe that all individuals benefit academically, professionally and personally from learning another language.  Learning a second language opens a world of opportunities and prepares individuals to successfully interact in today’s global society.
