Educational Background

I was raised in the border city of Tijuana, Mexico, but I was born in the city of Los Angeles, California. I attended elementary school in Mexico and continued the rest of my education in San Diego, California. In 2005, I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish with an emphasis in linguistics. After working for almost two years in an Adult Literacy Program as a tutor and an ESL instructor, I decided to further my education by pursuing a Master's degree in Spanish Literature at the University of Arizona. For the past five years, I had been fortunate to work at the University of Arizona teaching Spanish as Second Language and Heritage Language. Recently, I have received a Masters of Education degree in Secondary Education in Spanish from the University of Arizona.
