11c. The program solicits learner feedback to improve the program.

Artifact 82 - Explain How Feedback from Students/Graduates is Attained & Used for Prog. Improvement

The Carroll County High School Building Trades program attains and assesses feedback from students and graduates in three ways.

1.  A formal end-of-course evaluation is issued to each student at the end of each semester.  This is anonymous and tallied by Wytheville Community College for dual credit.

2.  A completer follow-up survey is conducted by telephone for the formal Completer Survey, but this is done by by personal contact to find more relevant information to assess student perceptions, class needs, and a more detailed student follow-up.

3.  Carroll County is a small rural area, thus informal feedback is attained through community interaction.  Inevitably, the student, relative, or someone who knows the student shares an update (the Walmart factor).
