Assessment Flow Chart

By clicking on the attachment below, you will see the visual representation of the UAB SOE Assessment Model.  When viewing this model, you will see that your portfolio will be evaluated at three checkpoints:

Checkpoint #1:
Admission to TEP

Checkpoint #2:
Admission to Student Teaching 

Checkpoint #3: 
Completion of Student Teaching 

This means that you will need to keep your portfolio current as you progress through your program!

As reflected in the UAB SOE Assessment Model, you see that there are many other types of assessments that you will need to complete (e.g., comprehensive exams, APTTP).  Also, you will engage in program evaluation efforts through exit interviews and surveys. Assessment data collected through these efforts will be used to revise and improve your program!
