Introduction to Education is a class that is the true first step in guiding future teachers to become knowledgeable professionals.  During this class we completed group research projects that taught us more about the education world, such as the controversial issue of ability grouping, and traditional schools.  Along with researching controversial issues and different types of schools, we created PowerPoints and presented them.  We have also learned different types of testing, learning styles and multiple intelligences.  Some of the most enlightening, informative experiences in Introduction to Education are the times the class has the opportunity to listen to excellent speakers and videos. In this course we experienced 30 hours inside the classroom with current teachers in order to complete our service learning hours.  This class really opens eyes for students looking to find out what teaching is truly about.
