I have included traditional, ethnic, amusing, and entertaining holidays in the calendar I created through PowerPoint so that it will assist me in being aware of important holidays that might impact children in my classroom.  This calendar is not intended for students, but will be strictly for my knowledge.  Knowing holidays of different cultures will help me plan assignments and events better, while also allowing me to learn and connect with each of my students.  I would also like for my students to have knowledge of their holidays as well as holidays in different cultures, so this calendar will assist me with creating projects leading into an assignment that is centered around different cultures. An added benefit to this project, is that I have searched the internet for celebrations around the world, and I have learned how to make a calendar should I need to send one home to parents containing important school dates and announcements.  To view the calendar I made, you may click on the link below.
