Heidi Bennett's Annotation

a.) Creator/ Author of the media project: Heidi Bennett

b.) Identify Grade(s): 4th Grade

c.) Subject matter: Does integration of subject matter take place? what is (are)  the subject matter(s):

Yes, because a teacher could put vocabulary words of the day on the web site, and a web site with definitions of each of them. It would connect with ELA, and the web site also shows them synonyms of the words. I think this important for them to see that different words sometimes mean very similar things. I would also have a sentence on the web site that is incorrect and have the students come into class with the corrected sentence. If a child is sick, they can look up what they missed, and see what the students did in class. Parents will be able to see what their child is learning in school from this web site. I think it would be important for me to use a web site in my future teaching career.

d.) List one or two goals/ objectives for this project:

Students will be able to create and use google apps, and share blogs.

e.) In what ways to you foresee could this project facilitate kids learning in your classroom? Will this media project encourage use of problem solving skills by the learner? If so what ways?

The students can go to the web site and review what they did in class if they get stuck on a homework assignment. IT also will encourage them to understand how to an assignment the right way. Maybe the children will even make notes from the web site that they might have missed in class. There could be a blog on the web site for the children to ask the teachrr any questions they might have.
