About Me

image.jpg I became a teacher because I always enjoyed working with young people.  I get a thrill out of seeing my students challenge themselves, take risks, and discover new things about them and the world we live in.  I like to provide my students with opportunities to challenge their conventions and "think outside of the box".  Most importantly I like to instill a sense of humor into my daily teaching practice.  My classroom is a place where students can feel comfortable and safe sharing their opinions, asking questions and overstepping their own boundaries.  Most Importantly I enjoy creating a classroom where we can laugh, learn and enjoy eachother's company.

I live with my wife Denise and my two sons Matthew and Zachary. I grew up in Great Neck, New York, but have spent time living in Worcester, MA, London, UK, Ann Arbor, MI,  and St. John, USVI.

My Education:

Clark University, Worcester, MA. 1995 B.A. Geography

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 2002 M.U.P. Urban Planning

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH M.ed Secondary Education
