Current Events (Grade 10-12) 1/2 Credit

Prerequisite: None

This class will utilize a variety of media to gain a better understanding of international, national, and local issues. Students who take this course will be expected to read articles, write papers, create projects, work in groups, and participate in discussions. Students who take this course should have a broad interest in analyzing contemporary issues including terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and domestic politics. Students who take this course may be required to purchase a subscription to a news magazine and/or newspaper.
