Rationale for Safety Check Sheet

Context:

I conducted a safety check as part of the requirements for my science methods class in the spring of 2006.  As a class with the help of Dr. Goodman, we came up with a list of safety items to check for during our internship.  Once the list was created, I used the list to check the safety of my internship school, Mountain View Elementary School.

Impact:

Through completing the safety check, I was made aware of the safety situations at Mountain View Elementary School.  Knowing the information from the safety check me to maintain students safety at all times.

Alignment:

Standard 17, indicator 2.  I met this indicator because I analyzed my internship class which is the lab for safety and made myself aware of chemicals kept within the classroom.

Standard 17, indicator 3.  I met this standard because completing the safety check made me aware of the safety codes and laws.
