Context:
This assignment was completed during my Block II semester at Appalachian State University for CI- 3543. I conducted the survey at Mountain View Elementary School in my internship with my third grade teacher, Mrs. Burgess.
Impact:
This safety survey better prepared me as a teacher by determining what is important to look for in the school and classroom, so my students are always safe at all times. I will look for these things listed on the survey when teaching and speak up to my principal if I see the safety of my students are at risk.
Alignment:
I met Standard 17, Indicator 1, by asking questions that dealt with lab activities and what safety rules they have in the classroom.
I met Standard 17, Indicator 2, by asking about lab activities and what safety precautions are taken at that time.
I met Standard 17, Indicator 3, by asking questions that should comply with the laws.
I met Standard 17, Indicator 4, by asking these questions which will communicate if my teacher models safety.
I met Standard 17, Indicator 5, by asking questions from the survey giving teachers basic safety behavior that should take place. They may use this information to improve the safety of the students.
