Student Learning Outcomes

Goal 1: Students will demonstrate mathematical knowledge. 

1.A Graduates will identify the fundamental concepts and theorems of the core of baccalaureate math.

1.B Graduates will identify mathematical objects described by mathematical definitions, and demonstrate appropriate use of theorems.

Goal 2: Students will demonstrate analytical and reasoning skills. 

2.A Graduates will solve problems in mathematics inherent in these courses.

2.B Graduates will write proofs of theorems at an elementary level.

2.C Graduates will be able to independently learn and write about mathematics.

2.D Graduates will use mathematics in context in applications in other fields.

Goal 3: Students will be prepared for further study and for careers in their field. 

3.A Students will demonstrate familiarity with professional career options and requirements to successfully enter professional careers or graduate study in mathematics.
