Native Americans have the highest drop-out rate compared to any other race or culture. This project allowed me to take an in-depth look at what causes this drastic drop-out rate and what is being done to combat this ongoing problem. I worked in group to find information that could be used in creating a research paper on the topic. After the research was completed we worked on creating an in-class presentation using PowerPoint and an activity to teach our Cultural Diversity in Education class what they as future teachers can do to help this freighting problem. We also created a handout that we can refer to as teachers in our future classrooms. Click on the Links above to view different parts of this project.
