Statement of Educational Philosophy Teachers facilitate student learning by connecting learning to their everyday lives. Through this, a teacher instills the love for learning in each and every student and encourages students to view learning as a lifelong process. In order to do this, a teacher must be patient and recognize small steps of progress, success, and the specific needs of each student. In this manner, students will feel secure in the classroom and willing to share their knowledge and experiences with others. Beyond facilitating a learning experience, a teacher must be sure that each students is given the opportunity to reach his or her potential. Because methods of learning may vary from individual to individual, making learning accessible to all students depends on a teacher's ability to use different instructional approaches. This includes direct instruction, cooperative learning, and inquiry-based learning. Integrating these educational methods within classroom teaching would increase each student's ability to reach academic growth.
The main role of schools is to create an integrated learning environment that will allow all students to excel. Schools are not only a place for students to study lessons from textbooks, but also a space for students to explore learning by interacting with other classmates.
