Camera Composition and Scanning

 Objective: 

Learn the rules for good photographic composition

Become familiar with digital cameras

Survey ways to modify digital images

Learn how to activate a scanner

Learn how to use scanner and OCR software

 

Assignments:  Students will illustrate each of the following photo composition by using a camera, searching the internet and clipping from newsprint the following photo composition:

Rule of Thirds

Stop Action/Action

Unifying elements/leading lines

Background/cluttered background

Focus Point/Special Effects

After gathering an images and photos, create a video of the photo composition.  Use a title slide and a credits slide.  Use the APA style of crediting resources. Create a folder for Photo Composition and label each image accordingly (examples:  thrids.jpg, focal.jpg, special.jpg, etc...)
