The required artifacts and work significantly impacted the revised definition of quality and safety. Understanding nursing specific indicators can have a positive impact on nursing care as there will be a greater emphasis on prevention of falls, pressure ulcers and utilization of restraints. A scenario is discussed in the SAT 1 and the patient develops a pressure ulcer because of excessive utilization of restraints. The task allows for identification of risk factors and leads to potential change in practice because of the importance of prevention of hospital acquired pressure ulcers.
