Executive Branch Organization
Governor – Oversees operations of other departments; Commander-in-Chief; Appoints public officials; Official Rep. of AZ; Makes sure laws are executed fairly
Secretary of State – Collects, complies, and safely keeps non-financial records of the state; Administration of the election process
Attorney General – Head of the Department of Law for AZ; Legal advisor to public officials; Defends the state and its agents in their legal duties brought against them; Responsible for crimes brought against AZ
State Treasurer – Keeps financial account of AZ’s revenues; Investment advisor; Reports regarding states accounts; Pays warrants issued by the division of finance
Superintendent of Public Instruction – Administrator of school funds, textbook selections, and teacher certification laws
State Mining Inspector – Conduct mine inspections
Corporation Commission – Regulate public service corporations within AZ
