Continue to assign an adviser to each new major and minor in Philosophy.
Continue to offer courses that will have an interdisciplinary appeal, for example, Philosophy and Psychology, Environmental Ethics, Philosophy and Film.
Continue offering “Faith and Reason” at least once a year. (This course is cross-listed with RELS and fulfills the Catholic component of the Religious Studies Requirement.)
Offer more and a wider range of courses examining issues of gender, race, sexuality, and class, for example, Great Women Philosophers, Philosophers on Race, Class, and Gender.
Offer courses in non-Western Philosophy and outside of the traditional Western canon, for example, African Philosophy and Latin American Philosophy.
Have open houses to discuss philosophy courses and the major and the minor.
Support informal meetings of students outside of the classroom, some with faculty, some without. This would be an informal Philosophy Club.

2) Collaborate with other Departments and Schools in developing the Center for Ethics.
3) Offer courses in ethics taught by full-time faculty in philosophy, e.g., environmental ethics, disaster ethics, ethics and superheroes.
4) Address questions of race, gender, sexuality, and class in a variety of ethics courses.
5) Work with the Center for Ethics on programs, workshops, and symposia in ethics, especially in applied fields.
6) Support the Debate Team, for example, by having Dr. Bollert continue as the team’s coach.Expected Results: Details/Description: Provide an account of how many of the activities mentioned in #1-6 have been accomplished. |
