Tech Fair 2010

As a presenter at the St. Johns County Tech Fair 2010 I was able to shine teaching many colleagues about the Web 2.0 Tools I had found for them to use in their classrooms.  I even shared a site I use quite often "Trackstar4Teachers.org" to develop Web Quests. In just a few minutes participants were able to see how easily the Quest can come together. The ISTE standards were easily met through my presenting at the Tech Fair, working side-by-side in the classroom with co-teachers, and presenting many, many interactive sites and lessons through the use of various technology equipment in my own classroom.  I take great pride in all I've learned and accomplished throughout my Master's Program at Grand Canyon University. I count it a privilege to have attended via online.

  1. Creative/Critical Thinking Reflection Form Creative/Critical Thinking Reflection Form
My PAP was two-fold, one preparing edocs on Web 2.0 Tools for a district-wide Tech Fair and also enhance my classroom, my co-teach classrooms, or fellow teachers in my school with new interactive websites/while teaching them to create Web Quests or how to use technology equipment.
  2. Final Evaluation Final Evaluation
My mentor completed the following form on how well I've accomplished my original goals of implementing technology in my own classroom, in colleagues classrooms and also in participating in the district Tech Fair. I have been able to accomplish all the standards I set out to accomplish and have done so remarkably well.
  3. Midterm Evaluation Summary Midterm Evaluation Summary
This piece is a self evaluation of the accomplishments reached halfway through my practicum. I am increasing the technology implementation in 3 different science classrooms where I co-teach, troubleshooting issues with classroom computers, and receiving positive feedback from my mentor in regards to my progress.
  4. Peer Mentor Observation Form Peer Mentor Observation Form
This form was used to evaluate the midway point in my practicum. Kelly Battell, my mentor, observed an interactive lesson on weather forecasting where students used the Mimio to correctly identify and place the correct weather symbols on a map. The lesson was quite engaging and even kept my mentor in the classroom much longer than planned.
  5. Practicum Action Plan Practicum Action Plan
This paper is an explanation of how I will show my strengths in implementing technology in my classroom, sharing my knowledge of technology equipment and development of innovative lessons with technology. Through the presenting of Web 2.0 Tools at the district Tech Fair I was able to aid in the professional development of colleagues while stretching and perfecting my own as I used sites and Web Quests outside my own teaching field. This meets Arizona Professional Teacher Standards 3, 4, 5.
  6. Practicum Activity Log Weeks 1-6 Practicum Activity Log Weeks 1-6
This log serves as a record of the activities I lead while in this practicum course. The creation of Web Quests, gathering interactive sites to use with the LCD and Mimio in classrooms, helping colleagues learn/implement new technology equipment, presenting Web 2.0 Tools at district Tech Fair, and encouraging students as I strive to make science real I have more than met the Arizona standards 1, 2, 5.
  7. Summative Assessment Summative Assessment
It gave me great joy to share sites that Tech Fair participants may not have seen before and also offer to look for sites dealing with specific topics. I was even able to share how to develop a WebQuest very simply through the site Trackstar4teachers. Wow! I can hardly believe the accomplishments I've made in this class and all throughout my Masters.
