Welcome to Essay #1. For this essay I wrote about the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) by International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). I chose one area in these standards that I felt I was weak in, and provided an example of how I may show competency in that area. I also reviewed the standards for teachers and students and shared my thoughts on those. For this assignment we were also asked to peer review another student's essay.

I reviewed Alissa Karsten's Essay #1.

Content:

+ Strong points: Alissa answered all questions for this assignment. The learning activity that she described was easy to understand and could potentially incorporate a lot of different subjects. She also found a great website that can be used as an example for her students as a part of her learning activity. I could definitely see myself using this idea in my future classroom. 

- Things that can be improved: She could work on a more detailed example of how she is going to demonstrate competency in the area she feels she is weak in. 

Format:

+ Strong points: I found no spelling or error in grammar.
