Tuesday 10-6-09
1. Warm Up: Answer the Reading Check questions on pages 111 & 112
2. Complete an Open Book quiz over Ch 5 section 1
3. Finish the Athens vs Sparta chart started last class
4. Cooperatve Groups - Choose a topic from selection provided by teacher and create a group presentation over either Athens or Sparta

Thursday 10-7-09
1. Give group presentations
2. Complete an annotated timeline over Greek history using 11 x 14 paper, scissors, glue, and the textbook and internet.

Tuesday 10-27-09
1. WarmUp - graphic organizers
2. Review and take chapter 7.1 quiz
3. Complete chart over Punic Wars and changes in the Roman Republic  (chapter 7.2)

Thursday 10-29-09

1. Benchmark Test
2. Copy notes from teacher
3. Continue research and make poster over a Roman Emperor/s from last class period.
4. Write 3 questions over each emperor.

Wednesday 11-4-09
1. WarmUp: Answer 5 map questions, p. 150, 156, 163
2. Answer student created questions by completing a gallery walk of the posters previously created in class.
3. Read pages 164-165, write a diary entry describing a typical day in the life of a Roman teenager.
4. Using textbook, pages 166-167, complete a chart showing the contributions in law/government, engineering, architecture, literature, and language and the relevance of these contributions today.

Friday 11-6-09
1. Bellringer: Complete definitions for the words lister in ch. 7 sections 5 and 6
2. Create a timeline showing the events  that led to the rise and spread of Christianity, using the information found in the textbook  ch 7.5
3. Prepare a map showing important locations of the ancient Roman Empire and the division of the easter and western empires.

Tuesday 11-10-09
Watch a video of two Roman Emperors, take notes over each emperor and than compare and contrast the acheivements and impact of these two emperors.
2. Research and create a poster over a Roman Emperor
