Every teacher has their own way of teaching and through my classroom management class, I have discovered my management style.
“Let’s figure out a way!” Authoritative and collaborative management styles illustrate a middle range between students and teachers. There is a positive balance of control, positive environment, and learning in the classroom with authoritative teachers. This style is based on the concept that students need to have their “say” not their “way.” The warm and supportive classroom will provide the opportunity for students to learn and practice communication skills. In a classroom, I believe there needs to be consequences for students’ bad behavior, but also rewards for their good behavior.
