BRAINY LEAVES AUSTRALIA

When Brainy arrives in London he feels very safe. He has escaped from all the police and detectives in Australia but he knows that they are very clever and will not give up yet. Brainy decides to hide in different places all over England until he is sure they will not find him.

Task Sixteen:

Brainy arrives in London on a Saturday morning. He hides in London behind the zoo for 5 days.
What day will it be when he leaves from hiding here?
(Special Clue - on Sunday morning - 1 day has passed)

Task Seventeen:

Brainy thinks to himself he would like to visit the beach, so he goes from London to Brighton Beach.
If he arrives in Brighton at 11.00 am on Monday morning and he wants to stay there until 11.00 am on the next week's Tuesday morning, how many days will Brainy stay at the beach?

Just as Brainy is about to leave the beach and go back to hide in London, he sees several police officers walking towards him. They recognise him as the Great Master Thief and they blow their whistles and start chasing him.

Brainy runs down an alley and quickly jumps through an open window and starts to get away. The police chasing him can see him through the glass and they see a great big door in front of them. If they can open it in time, they will be able to cut Brainy off and capture him. They have 2 minutes before Brainy is able to escape.

On the door there is a Special Security Panel.

The police see a list of questions which must be answered if they are to have any chance of catching Brainy.
Will they answer them in time?

The panel has these questions :

How many seconds are there in one minute?

How many seconds in five minutes?

How many minutes in one hour?

How many minutes in 3 hours?

How many hours are there in one day?

How many hours from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm?

How many days in one week?

How many days in four weeks?
