suffrage.jpg Reflective writing is very important in the process of learning. I will encourage my students to write in their journals about the things we are learning in class. As I teach about the history of voting, many historical figures will show themselves to the class including, President Wilson, Alice Paul, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. One writing assignment I will have the students complete is a letter to a historical figure of their choice. I will have them ask questions, give their concerns and offer advice to their person. This writing activity is reflective and creative and will give me a good sample of their writing and let me know if they are learning.
